RS Motorsport :: Classic Speed Restored

At the risk of introducing a degree of soppy sentimentality into an otherwise sober forum , may I say ...

It has been an extraordinary Ford year for me! When it began I had no Fords, and no plans to acquire any. Passing time on Ebay is always dangerous, and so it was for me; setting off a roller-coaster ride that saw me acquire two RS's, both in need of restoration, one more than the other.

There have been elations and very great disappointments. My acquisitions have led me through very poor and then the best of human behaviour. But at the low's, I found people and made friends who have gone out of their way to help me through (You know who your are Nev).

In this place there are so many of you who have given me help and guidance and simple encouragement; and for that I am greatful.

I am about to head off for a lengthy break, and I didn't want to leave without wishing all of you the best for Christmas and New Year.

See you all next year; when hopefully there will be two nicely restored RS's returning to the road.

Merry Xmas to all the forum and the best for the new year. The Kids have been celebrating all month, sorry about the festive kid photo, I am bringing this thread to a new level of sentimentality :grin:

I have to say this is one of the best forums i'm a member of, every gets along well and is willing to help out if needed.

Also for me it has been a good year and has ended on a very high note .

it started of by being given a pair a MK1 door bodies and car full of parts.
Then mid year Buying a house with my then girlfriend.
To top it all off, last friday I asked her to marry me. (she did say yes)

Hope every one has a great new year and a safe one if travelling!!

I'm looking forward to actually starting to make progress on my MK1 in 2008, as our renovations should be basically finished in the next week - taking a break from painting the kitchen right now!

It was great to meet up with Nev, Danny, Mark and Gary earlier in the year, and if anyone is ever over in kiwiland's south island drop me a line and i'll try to return the hospitality!!
