like this one???? the bottom photo
this is marks old car does it fit the bill?
and my red 4 door
I had a red 4 door rs2000 about 10 years ago(stripped it and scrapped it),it had a rough interior, rust in all the doors and most of the car a big crease in the roof, rough retrimmed interior, gold hot wires and cosworth badges all over it.
come to think of it if I had that car now I would rebuild it too. to todays standards I guess it wasnt too far gone.
good luck with your search I will keep an eye out,and check all my photos for other 4 doors
cheers
Dave

Hello Mick,
Looks like a great car!
Check out the classicford.mine.nu forum group homepage, scroll down until you see "technical information" and check the posting "researching the history of your car".
If you approach the RTA with a nice letter together with the VIN and old rego papers, approx date you bought and sold it, and any info to prove that you owned this car (including the photos) and ask them that you would like to track the car down to discuss purchasing it from the current owner you will probably find that the RTA will be able to provide you with the current owners name and contact details. If the car is not surviving they will also let you know.
Let us know if you need any assistance with this, and what the result is.
ta, Peter.

Hello Stu,
"I'll keep looking through the RSOC for you."
Do you have records on cars that were/are part of the club?
I am trying to chase down the complete owner history of our RS2000.
So far we have found out a lot, however still a bit patchy in places.
ta, PeterM.

So,
my search continues. I have tracked down the engine /chassis number.
It is : CK42XD94465R.
I traded it in to a car yard and at the time the rego plates were WHC-613.
Im not sure what to do with the info now I have it as I dont know how I can get current owners info or if this isnt possible, then get my info to them to see if they want to sell. It may even be wrecked by now, but at least I will know one way or the other. I really need some help with this so if anyone helps me locate it I will literally give you my left kidney!!!
Cheers,
Shep

A guy at work bought a red RS2000 4dr from nsw quite a few years ago and hasn't touched it since. I keep forgetting to ask him about it just in case, so I've put a reminder in my phone so when I get back to work next week I'll check for you. I have seen it and has some modern type of 14' inch alloy rim on it. I hope it is yours.

I have also had 3 red ones over the years mate. All in NSW. 1 2 door and 2 4 doors. I will see if I can find my old paper work also.

cool, thanks guys. Everytime I hear of someone who has a red 4 door my heart takes off. Im almost at the point of hiring a private investigator to track it down. Have already contacted one but he wasnt interested in this type of work ( only spying on cheating spouses!)
Im very keen to hear about your workmates car, especially if it hasnt been touched because my plan is total resto anyway so the less spent on it the better. Crazy as it is Id rather have the work done myself then I get exactly what I want. ....dosent help the bank balance though!!!!

Hey shepv8.
Spoke to the guy at work. His doesn't have a sunroof and came from more down melbourne way, so sorry to say that it might not be yours. He's now on holidays for a week but I'll give him the details you've supplied just in case it has had the sunroof removed or new roof added!
