For me a Subaru WRC 2000. Testing the sequential gearbox software one night before the start of Rally Canberra with a Prodrive engineer in the co drivers seat. Hard up it all the way to 6th then back down again on a number of runs on the road that runs through the showgrounds at 2 in the morning. Hard to keep your boot into it without lifting to change gear! I used to drive it quite often but not in anger like that night.

I have to say my trip's around the ring in this>

impressed me quite a lot

it was damp I didnt know where I was going, driving on the wrong side ofthe car or race rubber, and passing porsches!

But admittedly I don't/haven't/probably wont get to drive any exotic stuff

Driving around the ring is definitely the highlight of my driving life to date, and our hire car wasn't anywhere near as "exotic"! We a had a lowly Focus C Max turbo diesel! But it didn't matter - it was just an awesome exprerience and I would do it again in a heartbeat, no matter what car it was in. I can only imagine how great it would be in a car with a bit of grunt and grip! Still, I'm quite pleased with my 12min b to g! More powa!!!

Roger Freeth's prodrive legacy had the belt attached to the parcel shelf - As Possums car slide sideways into the tree it effectively entered in the rear door and basically caused the parcel shelf to be ripped/stretched backwards. So it wasn't the angle....

It's not just the steep angle down to the floor but the fact that they are not mounted in line with the seat centreline.

Hi All
Had a great day driving an AGS DFV powered F1 amazing truly spectacular
my wife Helen went for2 laps in a 2 seater I had 15 laps in the morning in a f3
then after lunch a breifing then 15 laps in the F1 with paddly 6 speed these guys
earn there money very hard cars to drive will do some more pics soon
