A Mexican Hello

Hello all,

Just joined the forum as I have a few project Escorts that have been resting in the shed for at least the past 12 years. However life seems to have made it to the point that it is time to blow the dust of the old girls and get them back together and out into battle.

First step will be to clear some shed space to get them back on stands and stripped back to the point that forward progress can be made. So that will be the plan for this summer. Nothing will happen quickly but the plan is to keep chipping away at them as resources allow.

Ultimately I want to get back into competition which really is the end goal so will be keeping an eye out for 2-door shells to put on the track with the first milestone getting back into Autocross as a cheap form of motorsport. I also have an Improved Production Car (what now seems to be Group 3J) class Mk2 that is included within the list of projects. It left the track under Pinto power but now supports a B-series motor as part of a "upgrade" that was never finished. Oh how times have changed and it is begging for a Duratec which I need to think about some more.......

So big plans and sure to be plenty of questions to ask. Hopefully I will also be able to help others.

Sounds like a few project options for you which should keep you busy. Make sure you set up a build thread so we can keep an eye on your progress.
