ford seirra 1600 engine???

Guys need some info on ford seirras as have the chance to buy one and dont really want to pass it up.. The guy says it used to have a 1600 engine if so where they a special 1600 only made for the seirra? Or where they the same as escorts or cortinas.. He says he has a 2 ltr guessing a pinto question is is it as easy as the escort 2 ltr conversion ? And finally if anyone has a seirra 1600 engine for sale let mee know pleeassee
