Mk1 Wiring harness

Postby Panko » Sun Mar 18, 2012 10:15 am

In the process of starting to look at my electrics inside my Mk1 Escort, I have some (to me) modified and molested wiring. Being new to Escorts, I'm a little worried that i won't be able to fix them, or get them to work again.
SO I am wondering if anyone has every purchased a New repro wiring harness to do a full rewire.
- was it a hard job running the new loom?
- Where did u get it from?
- What sort of price did you pay?
- Is it worth the money doing it?

Any advice/help would be great.
Cheers
Aaron

or more than you would ever require in an escort:

as long as i can use my factory switches for wipers and heater etc...
i don't mind doing Auto Elect stuff, but at the same time I'm not overly confident that i wouldn't stuff it up.

have you done this yourself mate?

thanks mate.
I had a look at them, and if i decide to spend the money on a ready made one, this is where ill go. At the same time i wouldn't mind having a go at the universal ones.

go have a chat to Dobuy on the turbosport forum. He is in Dubia and did his Mk2 with a purchased universal kit. I think he found it quite ok. He has a build thread. http://www.turbosport.co.uk/showthread. ... ight=dubai (am i allowed to post that link?????)
