Ok guys,I had a bit of time on the escort the last day or so,and have sorted all the little electrical drama(besides the ignition) drama but I am closer,as last night after removing the power from the + side of the coil the negative has 1.5v++ on it?????,Im guessing this is not helping with the problem.
Heading back down there now to trace where the voltage is coming from,I was under the impression the neg goes to supply the dissy,tacho this is getting a voltage from somwhere?????
Any ideas??
Miniliteman,I will grab the numbers off the module too whilst im down there.
ok,I swapped the dissy,disconnnected the neg on the coil(from the tacho) and fitted a wire from the coil to the spare dissy and shes running fine now.
started first kick, took it for a blat around the block, apart from a carby issue,she going fine now.
Even give it a wash this arvo.
thanks guys(JSA especially) for all your help will take it to an auto eletrician to get the resistor/ignition circut looked at ASAP at least I can drive it there now!!!!!
