Well i have a hilux and had the LSD rebuilt 20,000k ago and now its stuffed, and noisy. (the 1st one snapped teeth off the pinon)
personally i would not use a Hilux LSD they are known to wear quickly, and they are even more important when 4x4ing...
the Nissan stuff is stronger but im not sure if you can fit them in your escort.
Anyone know if a lockrite will fit an english diff?

KAAZ make a proper ramp clutch plate LSD for hte Hilux and are a great thing and better than any of the Nissan diff's
