Has anybody yet come across an effective way to restore the appearance of sidedraughts to anything close to new? We have tried a few things, alloy cleaners etc, but no luck so far. Just an improvement from dull & shitty would be good!!

I used to use an industrial strength alloy cleaner in the UK, it was slow but did work quite well, it was supposed to be diluted for most applications but I used it neat on carb bodies

Perhaps the ones you have tried are too weak :?:

I have also heard people swear by a long soak in cellulose thinners or acetone, haven't tried myself though.

Best I have ever seen have been either vapour or flour blasted though, gets them looking just like new.

Any particular brand Roger? and are the new and improved ones with softener really worth the extra money
