i just did this airbox on a mk 2 zetec with jenvey throttle bodies
it worked realy well , simple & very effective
uses a large cone shaped K&N filter

Can you do one for a YB Cosworth NA. I've been looking at Piper airbox's and yours looks the duck's. Carbies though, not throttle bodies?

no probs sportssedansteve , most important thing is i need to know
the measurement between the inner gaurd & the face of the carbs
as you know there is not a lot of clearance & a lot depends on how the eng
is mounted & what inlet manifold in use
ie yb,s & zetecs have a bit more clearance due to being angled slightly up
compared to a pinto on sidedraughts (bugger all clearance with trumpets)
bottom line is you can get a slightly bigger airbox for yb zetec etc
so i make them to suit , yb , zetec , pinto all slightly different
& maybe just
turn em upside down for a bda or kent eng??

Main reason I have held back from getting the Piper setup is i need to see the engine and carbs back in the car as Piper offer quite a few options for the actual air inlet, ie it can be forwards, rearwards, angled up or down, inwards outwards etc. Not prepared to risk ordering the wrong unit and not having it fit the space available properly.

This looks fantastic! I'm going back to my 45mm Dellorto's off a Lynx manifold, with 48mm trumpets. (Pinto RS)
I am thinking I would like to run a port into the box for pollution hoses.
I've been looking at the typical K&N paper type cleaners, but definitely love the look of this.
Any idea of cost?
