Well it must be cut backs at the factory then!! Both my sets are 16mm thick and have a "TH16MM" printed below the "FRP502R DS3000".
The boxes are identical to the ones pictured

Pulled the ones in car today.

I recall seller saying these no longer available, though
Seems only decent pad in 16mm is Hawk Blue

Roger thats crap as they prefer to sell the 9's as they are dearer and the
Willwood pad is a more common pad

This is a very interesting topic.
A couple of questions.
1 : I assume we atalking about the the late 2 serise Volvo Girling calipers, yes?
2 ; What rotars are used ?
3 : what is the friction face dimensions on these rotor ?
4 : The OD of the rotor ?
Using the Ferodo replacement Wilwood pads sounds the way to go.
