Has any one got a template for the metal infills between the boot and rear 1/4 in a Mk1 escort to create a complete firewall seal that they would like to share?

It may be best to make your own from cardboard. Due to production tolerances (very liberal!) they can be quite different, even from one side of the car to the other!

Yeah I was figuring that... but if I could get a template I have the basic shape to modify...much easier and quicker than making it all up, and that's what I'm after quicker and easier . I'm the cardboard king by the way, but it gets soggy.

I'm about to do the same thing, I'm going on a little holiday and will be back in about a fortnight, at which point I'm straight into it. I would also recommend making up one from scratch out of carboard, which is what i'll do. But if you still haven't done something by then i'll happily send you the template when im done.
Keeps the pics coming by the way, looks like it's coming along really well. My cars about to get a fair facelift too, i'll throw some pics up as well for all to see.

Thanks mate, I'm a few weeks off the template as the rear turrets and link boxes then firewall are next. Thought Id put the question out there such in a few weeks when its time Id save 2 or more hours of contorted bending to stick me big head up the escorts bum trying to fit cardboard, marking pens, scissors and my big hands, which may result in hammers thrown and dummies being spat. If I make my own I'm selling them on Ebay.
We can buy them from OS but 3 week+ wait and 200 bucks!

Yeah discussing all that with him at the moment. They are fro a mK2 however so none oft he parts would fit.
Yes could make them much cheaper at what time penalty though...the clock is ticking.
