has any body got any pics / tips etc
i am installing a zetec 1.6 with typ 9 5 sp into a mk 2 p/v
any help on sump , eng mounts etc
any info would be greatly apreciated

i will try to post pics as we go
pps we already have bellhousing / clutch sorted

I would be interested in how easy this goes - i have been considering the same swap for a MK1 1300 i have.
I assume you mean the Zetec E from the Fiesta? If so it is a great little motor and would be great fun in a Escort even in stock form.

Glenn t its a std brnd new motor 1.6 , dunno what its from but going into a stock type p/v . the 1st probs look like , eng mnts,, sump ,, and the
oil filter & starter motor ,, its all a bit of a tight fit & doesnt realy look easy but should be ok when done

What do you need to know Steve. I have the measurements for the sump i built (Dry Sump) and i happen to have a burtons (Retro Ford) sump here as well.

I got these drawings from Turbosport (i think) ages ago. I used the basic shape of the mount, then made the connection to the crossmember to suit what i wanted. If i remember correctly the drawings as they are place the motor a fair way forward to allow for a standard thermostat housing to be used.
