guys could some one tell me what compression the 711m engine had standard?

Factory manual for the Mk2 1.6 says 8.0:1

was thinking 98 percent convert it to unleaded ofcoarse.. and was thinking 10 pound
also does anyone know the formula on working out what size carby il need for it?

Only the 1300 LC had 8:1 CR; rest had a CR of 9:1 .

From 1976 onwards, all the 1600's were Low compression (8:1) thanks to ADR27A
Only the 1975 Ghia had 9:1 with 32/36 DGV and 4 branch manifold as standard.
8:1 should be alright with some boost

thanks ratta mines a 76 mite just run a thicker gasket to drop it some more just incase
