I've got that book and I'm pretty sure that photo is of a pommy car.
It's got the bonnet release that goes through the grill and I think that first sticker on the driver side inner wing is a pommy compliance thing.
I finally found what I think is a piccy of what I'm after though.
Sports Car world Aug 1971 has a dodgy pic that shows a car with a LHS bonnet pull (like mine). It has the negative earth sticker on that side and belive it or not, they have put it on so that it bends over the inner edge. In other words it looks like a 6 year old kid chose the spot.
So, after wasting all this time worrying about trivial matters, I'm going to stick it on the opposite side.

Posted: Thu Apr 10, 2008 8:53 pmYeah, it wasnt until after I posted that I noticed that it was a English car with Australian plates on it. Must have been brought out to give the Aussie media a try before the local release.
